To this day I think that the MMOFPS Planet Side was/is one of the best games out there for FPS fans.  It came out in 2006 and thousands of people enjoyed playing it.  In a nut shell, there was three factions all fighting in a persistant world for bases and land.  The battles were amazing and huge.  The only problem was the technology at the time was a bit behind.  Now it runs well on most mid level systems.  One other reason why I think that it did not take off like it should have is that Sony did nothing to promote it.  They should have because if they did, I feel that is would still be strong.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knows of a Planet Side like game that is out there.

I participated in the Closed beta testing and I really like the game a lot.  However it is a little different than PS because they are putting in some RPG aspects.  The PvP are mostly instanced, still going to be huge battles but not as big as PS used to be.  They are still making changes so we will see how it turns out.  I for one think PS fans are going to like Huxley.

Give Global Agenda a looksee… it will not have the vehicles but it might be an alternative to Planet Side.
